Producer Swizz Beats Unveils New Designs from Christian Louboutin's Mens Collection

Soon, Kanye West won't be the only rapper to have designed a shoe collection with a highly coveted high-fashion designer.  For months, rumors have been swirling that Swizz Beats will soon have his own collection with Christian Louboutin – and last night, his twitpic confirmed the rumors.

Rumored to drop later 2010, Louboutin's mens collection has already taken the fashion world by storm and many cannot wait to get their hands on a pair.

Lost & Found: Pharrell & The Yessirs - In My Mind

Pharrell & The Yessirs was a collective effort between Pharrell, Questlove, and James Posyner where they remixed Pharrell's album, Out Of My Mind.  

Although highly anticipated, the project was never officially released, but gratefully, it's finally made its way to the net thanks to Questlove himself.

Pharell is definitely long over due for a new album – In My Mind is one of my favorite albums, and it still gets much rotation today.

There's very few people who I'd consider worthy of looking up to.  Although that list is slim and only features a few, Steve Stoute is hands down on the list.

 From a record label executive, to becoming one of the most innovative figures in the marketing industry – Steve "The Commissioner" Stoute is definitely someone to do your homework on.

I've said this before, but if you're a regular visitor of this site – you're aware this isn't the first time I've posted something on my mentor from afar, Steve Stoute.

Trending Topic: Dr. Martens Boots

Thanks to the likes of Drake, Chris Brown, Kanye West, and Swizz Beats – Everyone has been asking their fashionably savvy friends, "what are those one boots that (insert artist here) had on?"  Finally, the answer to that question is Dr. Martens.  In usual fashion, that leads to people heading over to their nearest Nordstroms or Macy's asking, "can I get those in a size 9?"

Coming in an assortment of colors and designs, Dr. Martens is the new hot boot, for both women and men.  Ranging in price, on average – the cost is around $115, but can be found for as high as $250 (limited edition releases).

Ice Cream Tiger Varsity Jacket

If you're a frequent reader of the site, you know I love varsity jackets.  Ice Cream's Tiger collection is hands down one of the most eye catching pieces from the BBC/Ice Cream this season.

The jacket features elaborate tiger patches on front and back. Made in Japan from a Wool, Nylon and Cashmere blend with leather detailing and a quilted lining. Extensive striping sets this one even further apart from your standard fare, and at the same time really drives the Tiger theme home.

Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2010 Hi-Top Sneaker

Dior Homme introduces an interesting new sneaker design for their spring/summer 2010 collection.  Featuring premium leather and suede, a price on this hi-top design has yet to be released.

Although creative, this sneaker's complex design puts it in the "over the top" category for me.  Coming in four colors - Black, Brown, Grey, and White - I'm sure somebody will figure out how to rock these the best way possible.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets irritated by releases overseas - but fortunately, we have ebay and other sources around the net that make it possible for us to get our hands on things like the BLACK COMME des GARCONS 2009 Fall/Winter Collection.

While most of the recent BLACK COMME des GARCONS offerings have done little to stray away from all-black aesthetics, things are afforded a bit of color in this release. Once brightly colored shirts are given the overdye process while patterned button-downs feature bleached elements.

Available now at COMME des GARCONS On Lan Street in Hong Kong with prices running between $1350 HKD – $2050 HKD (approximately $174USD – 264USD).

Militant Pacifist Fisherman Down Vest

Japanese brand Militant Pacifist unveil its Fisherman Down Vest. The piece, produced in two colorways, features a woven body with leather accenting on the pockets and yoke, all featuring a mesh of materials that blends well and looks highly sophisticated.

French retailer Colette debuted Lanvin's Spring/Summer 2010 collection featuring their new low top sneakers.  Currently available online at Colette, $549

Ibn Jasper x Quintin 5 Panel Fitted Cap

This is a closeup look at the 5 panel fitted cap that Ibn Jasper (aka Ferrari Murakami) designed with the Quintin hat company. The design is inspired by the Louis Vuitton shoes that Kanye designed and are named after him (seen above).

Ibn describes the hats as being “clean and classy and for the person who wants a nice hat without it looking like a baseball cap”. The hats will be made available exclusively at RSVP Gallery in Chicago on December 15th.

In time for the holidays Original Fake is coming out with their 2009 X-Mas pack. The pack consists of a pocket v-neck sweater, quilted hooded jacket, beanie and socks.

All pieces come in a red/black colorway and come as a pack in a matching red Original Fake shopping bag. The beanie is reversible. We would think that the release takes place this weekend at the Original Fake flagship store in Tokyo.

Converse continues its (PRODUCT)RED campaign with the unveiling of its Leather Jacket Chuck Taylor All Star, making an official debut on December 1st via The (RED) Store locations in New York, San Francisco and London.

Made up of a patchwork of motorcycle jacket inspired red leather, the shoe comes complete with a quilted lining, heavy-duty zips and snaps and a leather rand with clean embossed detailing.

The shoe is available in a high-top, red leather version and launches globally at temporary locations of The (RED) Store in New York City, San Francisco and London on World AIDS Day, December 1st, as well as Converse.com and select retailers globally. In time for the cold days of the year Reebok introduces a new plaid colorway of the Pump Omni Lite. The mid top sneaker comes in a brown colorway with red/black plaid details. It is now available at Flauge.
